What you'll need
A real person checks each document before your profile goes live. It usually takes under 24 hours.
An ABN
You're an independent contractor running your own business, not a CleanGig employee. Registering an ABN is free through the Australian Business Register.
A National Police Check
Issued within the last 12 months. Clients are letting you into their homes, and this is the single biggest reason they trust the platform.
$5M public liability insurance
Standard for cleaning work in Australia and required before you can take a job. It protects you as much as the client.
An Australian bank account
Connected through Stripe so your payment lands automatically after each completed job.
You bring the equipment
Cleaners supply their own vacuum, mop, cloths and standard products — that is part of what the client is paying for. If a client wants a specific brand or eco range, they supply it. Offering green cleaning yourself is a point of difference you can charge for.
