Free, takes about five minutes
Make a cover image for your packages
A package with a picture gets looked at. A package without one gets scrolled past — no matter how good the price is. You don't need a designer: copy the script below into Google Gemini, attach one photo, and it makes the banner for you.
- 1
Open Gemini
It's free and works on a phone. Sign in with any Google account.
- 2
Attach one photo of yourself
Front-on, good light, plain top. Skip this step if you'd rather not appear — use the second script instead.
- 3
Paste the script and change the words in [brackets]
Your business name and up to four services you actually offer.
- 4
Download it and upload it to your package
Save the image and add it from My profile → your package. 1280 × 960 pixels (4:3) is the size that fits the card without cropping.
Script 1 — with a photo of you
I'm attaching a photo of myself. Create a professional service banner for my cleaning business listing using that photo. Rules for my photo: - Keep my face exactly as it is. Do not change my features, skin, age or body shape. - Cut me out of the background and place me on the right-hand third of the banner, from about the waist up, looking towards the text. - Improve the lighting so I look evenly lit, as if photographed indoors near a window. Layout: - Size: 1280 × 960 pixels, landscape. - Left two thirds: the text. Right third: me. - Headline across the top in large bold uppercase letters: PROFESSIONAL CLEANING SERVICES - Under the headline, my business name in smaller letters: [YOUR BUSINESS NAME] - Below that, a vertical list of up to four services, each with a small tick icon: [SERVICE 1] [SERVICE 2] [SERVICE 3] [SERVICE 4] Style: - Deep teal background (#0D9488) shading to a darker slate (#1E293B) on the left. - Mint green (#34D399) accents on the tick icons. - White headline text with a subtle shadow so it stays readable. - Clean, modern, high contrast. Think a well-made service advertisement, not a stock photo. - Leave a clear margin around every edge — nothing important within 60 pixels of the border. Do not include: - Any phone number, email address, website or social media handle. - Any star rating, review count, award, or badge such as "verified", "licensed", "insured" or "police checked". - Any company logo other than my own business name as plain text. - Any watermark or text I did not ask for.
Script 2 — no photo of you
Create a professional service banner for my cleaning business listing. Do not include any people. Layout: - Size: 1280 × 960 pixels, landscape. - Left two thirds: the text. Right third: a clean, bright, tidy room — a spotless kitchen bench or living room, photographed in soft daylight.

Getting a good one
Use a photo that is already good
Gemini improves lighting, it doesn't perform miracles. A clear, front-on photo taken near a window in a plain top gives a far better banner than a dark selfie.
Change the four services to your own
The banner should say what you actually do. If you don't do carpets, don't put carpets on it — a client who books on the strength of a banner and finds out otherwise leaves a one-star review.
Ask for changes in plain words
After it generates, you can say "make the text bigger", "move me further right" or "use a lighter background" and it will redo it. Three or four rounds is normal.
Never put a phone number on it
The prompt already forbids it, but check the result. Contact details on a banner get the package taken down, because jobs arranged off CleanGig have no insurance cover and no payment protection for either of you.
Don't add badges you haven't earned
No stars, no review counts, no "verified" ticks. CleanGig shows your real rating and your verified badge next to the image — a painted-on one next to the real one just looks like a lie.
